PRESIDENT OF CABO VERDE VISITS THE PAWTUCKET LIBRARY

PAWTUCKET - The President of Cabo Verde, Jose Maria Neves, visited the Pawtucket Public Library on Sunday, April 2nd. President Neves greeted visitors, delivered brief remarks, and presented the library with books as a token of his appreciation.

The President was joined by Congressman David Cicilline, Mayor Donald R. Grebien, Mayor Roberto Dasilva, and members of the Pawtucket Delegation and City Council. 

"Here in Pawtucket, we have the largest Cape Verdean population out of any City in Rhode Island," said Mayor Donald R. Grebien. "Having President Neves return back to our city is an incredible honor. We in Pawtucket are committed to our partnership with Cabo Verde and look forward to processing together."

The day's program concluded with a visit to the CACD for a brief lunch and meet and greet with the President.
