Dog Licenses

Dogs are required to be registered every April. A valid rabies certificate is required at the time of registration. Pawtucket residents are allowed three (3) dogs per household.

Fees:

  • All Dogs (Spayed/Neutered - must present certificate of spay/neuter): $16.00
  • All Dogs (Not Spayed/Neutered): $26.00

Senior Citizens (65 years of age or older - must present proof of age):

  • All Dogs (Spayed/Neutered - must present certificate of spay/neuter): $6.00
  • All Dogs (Not Spayed/Neutered): $11.00

Dog licenses may be obtained at the City Clerk's office during normal business hours.

Traditionally during the month of April, the City holds a rabies clinic where dogs & cats can receive their rabies shot at reduced rates. Licenses for dogs may be obtained at the clinic. Dates, times, and other details will be placed in the Times and on the Online City Calendar.
