Dog Licenses

 

ALL DOGS ARE REQUIRED TO BE LICENSED

Every person residing in the City of Pawtucket who is the owner or keeper of a dog six months old or over, must license said dog annually. 

COPY OF RABIES CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED

DISCOUNTS for people 65 years of age or older.

DISCOUNTS for dogs that are spayed or neutered - Rabies Certificate must state that dog has been spayed or neutered or provide spay/neuter certificate

CATS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO BE LICENSED

 

All applications are processed online, only.   

A user account will be required to complete the online application.

 

Credit Cards, Electronic Checks, Cash, Checks and Money Orders are accepted for licenses.

• $11.00 (Not Spayed/Neutered)

City of Pawtucket Attention

Rhode Island General Law requires all Dogs, Cats (including indoor cats), and ferrets be vaccinated against Rabies.

TIME: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon

PLACE: SLATER PARK - “Paul J. Wildenhain Memorial Animal Shelter”

COST: $10.00 per animal – CASH ONLY (Checks will not be accepted)

Correct change will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

PLEASE BRING LAST YEARS RABIES CERTIFICATE IN ORDER TO OBTAIN A THREE (3) YEAR RABIES CERTIFICATE.

Minimum age for vaccination is three (3) months.

ALL DOGS MUST BE LEASHED AND ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.

ALL CATS, AND ALL FERRETS MUST BE IN A CARRIER.
