NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

The City Council of the City of Pawtucket will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on the AMENDMENTS to the Proposed Annual Operating Budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2017 – June 30, 2018.

 

THIS HEARING WILL BE HELD TUESDAY, MAY 30, 2017 AT 5:30 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, 3rd Floor, City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

 

THIS HEARING WILL ENTERTAIN WRITTEN OR ORAL QUESTIONS RELATIVE TO ONLY THE AMENDMENTS WHICH ARE AS FOLLOWS:

The amended rate of $22.62 against the prior year rate of $21.89 represents a $0.73 increase on residential taxes.  Therefore, the above amendments represent a $0.10 decrease on residential taxes to the proposed budget.

The amended rate of $34.73 against the prior year rate of $33.61 represents a $1.12 increase on commercial taxes.  Therefore, the above amendments represent a $0.15 decrease on commercial taxes to the proposed budget.

The amended rate of $52.09 against the prior year rate of $52.09 represents a $0 increase on the tangible personal property.  Therefore, the above amendments represent a $0 increase on tangible personal property taxes on the proposed budget.

The amended rate of $53.30 against the prior year rate of $53.30 represents a $0 increase on the motor vehicles.  Therefore, the above amendments represent a $0 increase on motor vehicles taxes on the proposed budget.
