Masks are required for entry for all employees and visitors of City Hall and public buildings.
The Pawtucket Parks and Recreation Division is hosting a number of free performances throughout the summer beginning Tuesday, July 6 and are tentatively scheduled to end Sunday, August 22, weather permitting. All performances begin at 6 p.m. and are open to the public.
There are seven children’s performances taking place at Slater Memorial Park every Tuesday evening starting on July 6 and sponsored in part by Jordan’s Jungle, Butler & Messier Insurance and the Pawtucket Credit Union. These performances include Lon Cerel, Tommy James, Johnny the K, Bryson Lang, T-Bone, Keith Munslow and the Toe Jam Puppet Band. Performances will be held at the stage between the Slater Park Office and the historic Daggett House by route of the Armistice Boulevard park entrance. The carousel will remain open until 8 p.m. throughout the summer during the night of these performances only. In the event of inclement weather, the performance may be moved to the Slater Park Pavilion and will be announced on the Pawtucket Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
Thursday evenings bring music to the Daggett Farm stage location by way of the Newport Avenue park entrance. These performance are sponsored in part by Jordan’s Jungle, Newport Avenue Smiles and Security Concepts. This year, acts include Cold Sweat, Southbound, John Connors and the Irish Express, Keturah’s Dream, the Jesse Liam Band, The Tug Hollow Band and Gary Hopp and Friends. The Free Summer Music Series in the Park begins July 9 and continues every Thursday through August 19th. Seafood, sandwiches and other concessions are available at Len’s Seafood, Hot Dog and Ice Cream Haven, which is located on premise. In the event of inclement weather, the performance may be moved to the Slater Park Pavilion and will be announced on the Pawtucket Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
A variety of free musical performances will be presented at The Veteran’s Memorial Amphitheatre on the corner of Roosevelt Avenue and Exchange Street every Sunday night at 6 pm, sponsored in part by Jordan’s Jungle, Dave’s Marketplace and Navigant Credit Union. The Parks and Recreation Division extends its sincere gratitude to this year’s sponsors for their generosity to making this year’s lineup a successful one. As a result of this generosity, there will be an additional children’s performance taking place on Wednesday, July 21st with magician Scott Jameson at Payne Park and the funny and talented Robert Clarke at the Carney Tee Ball Field in Veteran’s Memorial Park on Wednesday, July 28 and at the John Street Playground on Wednesday, August 4th. All performances start at 6 pm. In the event of inclement weather, these performances will be cancelled.
