Message From the City of Pawtucket and the Pawtucket Police Department

The safety and well-being of our residents is of utmost importance. The City and Pawtucket Police Department will continue to have additional resources throughout the night to protect the community out of an abundance of caution for our residents.

The City and Police Department stand together and strongly condemn the actions that caused the death of George Floyd. We will remain committed to not allowing the destruction of property in our diverse community.

Enforcement in the city must be balanced with the needs of our hard working business owners and the rights of our residents. Please rest assured that the police will continue their heightened security as they protect and serve our great people. We will continue to assess the ongoing situation.

Thank you.
