PAWTUCKET - With the colder weather upon us, family gatherings and holidays that bring people together are just around the corner. While many look forward to joining friends and loved ones for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s, for many others, the holiday season can be a difficult reminder of what they do not have. With that sentiment in mind, the annual Mayor’s Holiday Dinner, established over two decades ago by the City of Pawtucket, is fast-approaching once again.
This year the Mayor’s Holiday Dinner, which has long since been open to anyone in the community, will be held on Tuesday, December 4th, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., thanks to our generous hosts from the Holy Family Parish Hall at 195 Walcott Street, Pawtucket.
This event is a long standing tradition here in Pawtucket and the dinner has always enjoyed the company of “celebrity guests” that serve as our wait staff for the day.
For people looking for more information about the event, or for people who would like to know how they can help, the Mayor’s office can be reached by calling 401-728-0500 Extension 281. Interested parties may also email amartins@pawtucketri.com for further information.
