2020 Slater Park Summer Camp Program Details Are Announced

The Pawtucket Parks & Recreation Division will be conducting a two-session summer camp program for Pawtucket residents only to be held at Slater Memorial Park, starting Monday, July 6 through Friday, August 14 for children ages 6 through 13.

The summer camp program will be conducting two three-week sessions this summer from 9 AM to 2 PM.  The first session will take place from Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 24.  The second session will begin on Monday, July 27 and continue through Friday, August 14.  There will be no camp held on Monday, August 10 in observance of Victory Day.  There will be a cost of $30 per child, per session.

Registrations will be accepted for one or both sessions.  Because of the COVID-19 guidelines established by the RI Department of Health, capacity limits for the camp have been significantly lowered, parents/guardians are urged to register accordingly if a child is unable to attend a complete session in lieu of family vacations or events.

Parents/guardians should thoroughly review the Slater Park Summer Camp packet prior to registering their child. This packet includes important registration requirements, online registration instructions as well as specific details about the camp program.  Because of decreased capacity limits, registrations that are not completed or not completed accurately will not be accepted. This packet is available through the Parks & Recreation Division tab located on the City of Pawtucket’s web-site, www.pawtucketri.com.   The packet will also be available at the Slater Park Office lobby, Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Registrations will be accepted online only, starting May 28th at 5 AM, through the City of Pawtucket’s website under the Parks and Recreation Department’s tab.  A limited number of openings have been held for a one day, in-person registration that will be held at the Slater Park Pavilion on Saturday, June 20th at 10 am. Guardians are asked to follow RIDOH guidelines by social distancing in line and wearing a face covering.  After June 20th, registrations will be accepted online only.

Updated information or camp details can be found through the “Pawtucket Parks & Recreation” and “Slater Park Camp” Facebook pages or by calling the Slater Park Office at 728-0500, ext. 251 during operational hours.
