The mission of the Leon Mathieu Senior Center is to identify Pawtucket's older adults and provide them with a safe, supportive and nurturing environment where they can access information about resources, programs and services available on the local, state and federal levels. The Center acts as an advocate for the rights and well being of older adults on a wide variety of issues.
The Pawtucket Senior Citizens Council serves to insure continued commitment to quality programming. The council meets on the third Monday of each month.
Insures the safety of individuals who are suffering from Alzheimer's disease or other related dementias. This program is administered in partnership with the Pawtucket Police Department.
The Check-EM Program is a telephone reassurance system that will call seniors 60 and older and the disabled living at home to ensure they are okay. This is a potential life saving program that is free to Pawtucket residents. This is a cooperative program with the Pawtucket Police Department
Is a medical day program that offers a variety of assistive and support services to frail elders and disabled adults. Call (401) 727-0950 for more information.
The Senior SIREN is a newsletter that provides information of interest to local seniors. It also lists all of the activities, programs and services offered at the Senior Center.
