Zoning Board of Appeals

Overview

The Zoning Board of Appeals is charged with ruling on requests from applicants seeking relief (variance) from the current rules found in the Pawtucket Zoning Ordinance or permission under certain conditions (Special Permit).

BOARD OF APPEALS - Expires 1st Monday in January - 5-year term

SALARY §88-29 & §88-30 Chair-$180 per meeting; no more than $4320 annually

Members $150 per meeting; no more than $3600 annually

MEETINGS 

The Zoning Board of Appeals generally meets on the last Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, third floor of Pawtucket City Hall, to hear applications.  The Zoning Board of Appeals then meets on the first Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m., in the same location to vote on whether to grant the request.  Please check the Secretary of State for next meeting date.
